Quick question...is there anyone who has done just a muffler and not a full system? If so, which and sound clips if available? Or could it even be done? I assume so...

Do the whole exhaust system on it or its completely pointless..

Has anyone got a 2005 2,0LGT 5EAT with an exhaust system done.

I would like to get an indication of what it would sound like specifically when the autobox changes gears. (Normal aswell aswell as at hard accelleration).

My son is nagging me because my WRX sounded great and now we have the stock standard wagon and he wants the burble back.

of course people have an 05 with an exhaust lol. don't worry, you're legacy will sound exactly the same as your wrx did. just do not get equal length headers. any catback will solve your problem. just check this thread for the one you like best.

Dare I ask what's a good budget one? I only know Megan, Hks, Perrin (for pipes), Cobb (for pipes) and the usual ;Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc, which don't interest me for this.

You can buy a Fast Motorsports catback from Import Image Racing for dirt cheap and the quality is awesome.

Taking a look at it, thanks. Any other reccomendations? I do like the sound though.

The FMS catback is a good piece and I hear good reviews with the GMS catback too. They're both fairly inexpensive. If you want to go even cheaper, have a custom exhaust made by a reputable shop. I am currently running a single exit made by the local shop. I have the FMS also but am currently running my single exit. I'll post a sound clip tomorrow if the weather is favorable.
