IdkWhatUserNameToUse
Is it worth buying another quart to hit that 5.1 mark, or would one 5 quart jug be enough?
boxkita
.1 quart is about the size of the oil filter. If you prefill, then it works out. Build my car Boxkita Track days

ammcinnis
Is the .1 of the 5.1 quarts of oil a big difference? Not when the difference between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick is ~1 quart. securityguy
The answer is NO...just put in 5 quarts and call it a day. 0.1 quart is nothing and nothing to be concerned about. Filled with 5.0 for years and never an issue nor did I expect one. If anyone tells you different...don't listen to them:spin:
moral hazard
You always get more out of a jug than stated on the label anyway.
ehsnils
It's because you use quarts instead of liters. The vehicles are using metric measurements as standard.

Jsmith
It's because you use quarts instead of liters. The vehicles are using metric measurements as standard. 5.1 US quarts is roughly 4.8 liters. How is that any better? As others have said, do not worry about the .1 quart. When you check your oil, you’ll never know the difference.
