RustyRuu
I know to keep it slow around doughnut shops but I still need a little leg up on those pesky oinkers. I live in a city with one of the highest law enforcement to citizen ratio in the country. Who runs what and how well does it work.
scoobyscoodle
I've been running Escort for quite awhile and can only say that I've easily saved $20-30K over the past 10 years. I have the Passport 9500ix and the Redline, and my girlfriend has the Passport Max. All of them are excellent, just depends on what features you want. The GPS based ones are the best if you do a lot of urban driving and wanna keep the unit on all the time, as you get way less false alerts and it's pretty quiet when the fuzz isn't around. I only use my Redline on long road trips on open roads.
theGeneral
The "best" detectors seem to be very pricey. I have had a Whistler for about ten years and it has saved me countless times.
caramall2
Always like Valentine best due to directional arrows (I think that's a major plus) and range, etc, but now Escort has that plus GPS as well I believe. Dishwasher
I was in the market for one, but now I just use Waze. It's a crowd sourced poor man's police detector/useful nav app. Brought to you by Pfizer
