whhaaaaaa!!! :eek:love the porsche wheels! the fitment works perfectly. do u have spacers??

They are replicas that were made mostly for VWs... Probably Mille Miglia wheels...

18x8 - et35 - 5x100 - 73.1 hub size

Just had to get hub-rings.

Thanks for the compliment!! Probably getting 10mm spacers for the rear to "flush" it out...

^ Love those wheels on the GRP. Especially on the lowered outback. I loves me some lowered outbacks. Maybe I need to get one to match my LGT wagon. :)

Thanks! I'm real happy with with how my wagon turned out....although it would have been nice to get a legacy so as to have the suspension be perfect and not a 'modification'. Although it handles great, the LGT would have had the proper steering angles and proper steering ratio that the lowered OBXT doesn't have. That being said, with that 4.44 final gear ratio, I merely look at the throttle the wrong way in 5th and that thing just bolts! Makes for quite the exciting romp around town too!

Hi guys, hoping that someone here might be able to help me out.

Looking at getting a rack for what'll likely be 2-3 mountain trips a year.

I noticed SportRack by Thule seems to have a fairly cheap base rack setup, but I can't seem to find many reviews on them. Anyone have any experience with them?

How confident are people with using the upright racks? I really hate taking the front wheel off but I feel like it's more secure.

If I take a corner hard could the upright bike fly off?

It's a lot more crap up top all the time, I'm concerned with additional wind noise and mpg decrease.

I plan to run a 15 or 20 mm thru axle on my next bike so I don't want to deal with taking the wheel off when I get it.

Thoughts?

Sick bike btw.

Hitch mount. Seriously, I rarely run my bikes on the roof anymore, only when I run out of capacity on the hitch mount.

I've never had a problem with my Lockjaws. Even tore the christmas lights out of a tree at my bank without a problem :D:redface:

My bike has non-quick release Magura hydraulic rim brakes, so pulling the wheel is a pain. Plus, I don't have to find a place to put the wheels. :)

I couldn't help restraining from responding here. As I was just thinking about my friend, I came across this thread. Thankful for the thread creator. Very creative and thoughtful. Thanks for creating another community of enthusiasts in here!

SportRack is a great company, but their pricing is not that competitive. quite pricey, whereas you can buy the same brand elsewhere for a much better price and experience.

If you are interested, my long time friend I knew since childhood is a distributor of Thule and Yakima Roof Racks. Pm me if you like to get a setup, and what you are looking for.

I'll be sure to help you get the best price since we are Legacygt Members. Anyone else as well. Guarantee best experience. On the other hand, this forum is such a blessing environment, and I am so thankful that everyone shares similar values and norms here. Loving the subies!

Not a Legacy anymore, but here's my WRX racked out. Standard railgrabs and crossbars with a LoadWarrior basket and Raptor bike tray. I also have a snowboard rack, but I don't like the way it sits up on top of the basket so far off the roof.

Finally got racks on my wagon!!! Woo!

OEM crossbars (thanks to black_bulletGT) and Rocky Mounts Pitch fork mount bike racks. Bike rack trays are really nicely made (I returned a rhino rack tray I bought that cost twice as much and these are just as nice or nicer) they are definitely comparable to any of the top rack brands. The lock cores are quite cheap though and I think I could probably tear one apart with any standard screwdriver. The hardware for mounting to the rails feels solid and is designed so that you have to remove the locking skewers before you can get to the hex bolts so I do feel moderately secure despite the cheap lock cores. The plastic locks on the OEM rack can't be that strong anyway so if there's a weak point I'm sure thieves will find it. Got a muddy ride in today and forgot to take a picture with the bike on top. Soon!

Going to move them a few inches forward though. My back tire hits the hatch when open. I was careful to make sure the rack didn't hit when it opened up but forgot that the tire would stick out a little further. The rack I bought here didn't have end caps or keys for the locks and Mont Blanc sent me a full set free of charge!

Adding a snowboard rack in the center hopefully next week :) Racks on racks!

I had to flip my bike trays around to clear the hatch of my WRX wagon, so don't be afraid to try that too.

Not a worry, it barely touches as it is now and I've got at least 3" that I can move it forward. Should be fine. I might have to flip one to carry 2 bikes though.
