Wagon Folding Rear Seat Rattle, found it! But how to fix it?

So I pulled apart the panels to get to where the passenger side bolts how the hinge for the folding rear seat in my wagon. I was sure it was a loose bolt or something that I could tighten down and stop the rattle. It is actually the metal bar that goes through the hole in the hinge that is the cause of the rattle. The tolerance was most likely tighter 140k ago and now must be ovalized a bit and causes a rattle on every bump.

 

Has anyone figured out a solution to this issue other than welding the damn thing in place, which I do not want to do and lose function.

Could try packing some grease in that hole to see if it brings the noise down a little bit.

Stick a piece of cardboard in there to act as a cushion...? Or some foam...

I applied some electrical tape to the post where the seat locks into place and it helped a little but not much. I will dig into it this weekend. I might add a couple of washers to the mounting points for the hinge to flex it ever so slightly in hopes that it will side load the pivot some and stop the rattle.

linerless mastic tape is thicker than electrical tape and might provide a little cushion on the post instead of basic electrical tape.
