OK got them installed

IMHO much easier to lift car remove bottom access panel and install. also, writing so you can read it when fog light is installed.

1. remove trim piece

2. reach in hole to side of fog light and use a Philips head screw driver to remove 2 screws on inner 2 tabs on back of light assembly. These are the tabs on the same side as the car's radiator.

3. remove sleeves from screws and press them into left side holes (driver's side light) and right side holes (passenger side) of Ford lights.

4. remove fog light by rotating it and sliding it through fog light hole.

5. unplug Subaru fog light

6. plug in Ford fog light

7. rotate Ford light so you can slip it through hole, use other hand to reach in from hole next to fog and insert the outer tabs into slots.

8. while pushing the light into the tabs, rotate it so you can line up the holes

9. screw in light.

10. Repeat for other side

11. reinstall trim peicees

Yes, I have, and ironically we had some heavy fog for a few days here, right after I installed them.

as GTEASER said, it's not like instant daylight from some monster LED off road flood lights.

I feel like the Subaru OEM fogs gave more of a FLOOD, whereas these FORD LED Fogs have a very sharp and defined cutoff below the headlights, bbut honestly, that's what they are designed to do, and supposed to do.

My understanding of fog lights are to actually throw light low and wide, onto the ROAD head, so that you can see the road and painted reflective lines on the road, to safely see and drive in FOG.

Fogs lights aren't meant to be FLOOD lights that throw a ton of light at everything in front of you, including blinding the drivers in front of you, or other drivers in the other direction.

What's amazing to me is how far to the SIDES these fogs throw the light, and very bright. Easily 20-30' to the left and right of my car, there is bright white light!

I don't recall every having that with the stock fogs.

What probably helps this with the 2013 fog trim bezel, is that they cut out to the sides so the light isn't just thrown forward, it kicks out to the sides, which is awesome.

The 2010-2012 Legacy fogs/trim are much more covered and appear to be more forward-facing and may not let out as much light to the sides.

Overall, in summary, I am VERY pleased, and thank everyone on this thread for their input, especially GTEASER.

Do the 13 bezels fit a 2011?

Received the TYC clones today. They look pretty good from everything I can tell. Only major difference to OEM is that cylindrical nub next the to fins on the back. That doesn't seem to be on GTeaser's OEM ones. Also had the CAPA certification sticker on it that started to do that "VOID" thing as I tried to pulled it off (which you can see on the right side of the sticker in the 5th picture), so I just pushed it back down. Not sure if that like, invalidates the cert or something? Idk, I'll just leave it on there for now.

The little nub on yours is an antiquated pressure equalizing vent. The OEM Ford lights have GORE brand pressure equalizing vents, the round grey spot in my pics, just like high end off-road LED lights like Rigid and Baja Designs.

GTEASER you posted in this thread and I got excited to see the install. Then I was disappointed.

Was there any consensus on which other Subaru models these will all work for? I tried comparing and contrasting part numbers but there does appear to be different Subaru #'s for each model. But based on what the parts drawings look like though, it appears these should work for 15-17 STI/WRX, 14+ Forester, 13-16 BRZ, any others? Any of those incorrect?

So the TYC's are in, and they'll do for now, but I'm going to spring for the actual OEM Ford ones at some point. The light output is an improvement over no fogs, but they don't have that lazer-like sharp cut off like GTeaser's do in his pictures. I'll ride them for now, and save up for the OEM ones. I'll post some pictures in a bit.

Edit: Actually, just got thinking about it: is that little allen/phillips screw on the bottom of the housings likely for leveling? Or more likely for focusing the projector? Cause if it's for focus, that could explain why I don't have a nice sharp cutoff, and would just need to adjust them a bit. Maybe I'll go out and mess with them a bit lol.

Ok, disregard my last post, answered my own question through experimentation. The screw on the bottom is the angle adjustor, and they were just aimed WAAAY too high (like way above my low-beam's throw). I re-adjusted them down and they are much, much better now. Much closer to what I was looking for from them. And they do actually have that same blade-type of cut off like the OEM's, if maybe just not quite as defined. Properly adjusted, the output and throw is much better. Happy with these.

1st pic is no fogs, 2nd pic is before adjustment, 3rd pic is after adjustment.

Okay now who is going to make this a kit?
I think Humble is (lol). Thing is, with all the parts needed readily available for cheap, I'm not sure how many potential clients would eat enough mark-up to make the time and resources spent to kit-ify this worth while.

Not enough owners of the compatible cars will care about the LEDs in the first place, fewer still about Lamin-x to protect them, and those that would potentially buy both are already savvy enough to shop around for cheapest price and get both on their own.

Then again, Subispeed and similar seem to do just often fine doing little more than kit-ifying or re-branding parts and selling on their site.

I guess the business model is just wider so they can take the potential hit. Maybe pitch the kit idea to them to sell on their own (copyright A_a_ron, Humble Rumble, original idea credit to GTEASER) with some kick-backs (25-50% of profit on any sales?) to whoever does the pitch? I guess you can do the same on any other brand-specific or generic aftermarket part sites.
