Sheffx
we have a beautiful '08 Legacy with only 66,000 miles on it. I went to lock the car and everything worked fine...THEN all of a sudden neither remote works. The car battery is in great shape (I had it tested). I had the fob battery changed and still NOTHING. I am told it may be the internal sensor....any thoughts?

apexi
Maybe check the fuses as suggested in the second picture below. If that doesn't work, I'd next go to some of the easiest grounding points to check. There are two in the front of the engine, underneath it. One of the grounds goes from the engine towards the airbox, and the other one goes from the engine to near the battery. This is what the module should look like, I guess it's behind the glove box. https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2008_Legacy-25L-4AT-4WD-Limited/KEY-LESS-CONTROL-UNIT/49300828/88035AG03A.html Edited October 17, 2019 by apexi
