Brighton96
The radiator has no trans cooler, the input is on the top of the right one and the exit is on the top of the left one as viewed from the picture. choover1101
Tires: Maxxis Bravo 771 AT Size: 235/60R16 Rims: Konig Runlite (Front) Size 16x7.5 Offset:+45 Fitment issues: At a certian steering angle the back of the front wheels rub on the side skirt. Once you turn the steering further the rubbing stops. Solution: Remove side skirt and front inner fenders. (Solved the problem.) choover1101
Manual steering rack conversion. I took apart my spare 99 Outback steering rack and cut off the power piston. I then installed this rack into my 96 GT. Review: If you are moving at all steering is easily a one handed operation. At a stop steering with two hands is on the line between recommend and needed. Benifits: No power steering leaks. Other notes: I replaced inner and outer tie rods with Moog. And made a custom inner tie rod joint cover to go under the tie rod boot. I used an Energy Suspension ball joint cover and slid it over the inner tie rod joint. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
choover1101
I figured I would update, my GT has not had any issues or needed anything other than general maintenance since June 2018. She is still my daily and still my favorite car. I got married 02/2019 and my wife and I set out to become debt free by following Financial Peace University offered through our church. So projects have been minimal. But, as we are debt free, and have saved most of our Emergency Fund I can start looking at next projects. So... I am looking at making a set of adjustable trailing arms to re center the wheel in the well. More info to come in the next few months. doublechaz
Congrats on being debt free. It takes work to get there. It's a good place to be.
choover1101
We bought a house! (Also will stall my trailing arm build.) Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Das Ninjabot
Congrats! Certainly a good reason to slack on those trailing arms!
doublechaz
Brick. I'm jealous. Mine is cheap plywood exterior. Good work getting that place.
choover1101
Yesterday my 96 Legacy GT (Jo Lupo) died, for now. On the highway she lost a gallon of oil out the exhaust pipe and began a hard knock at 262800 miles. So, she will be stored until we finish the work on our house. Hopefully January I can start the disassembly process. This will over time lead to the next phase of her life with plans unresolved. Brighton96
Let me know when you want my silver hood, gt bumper and engine haha. But definetly lower priority than the house, congrats!
doublechaz
Good work on the house. I know what you mean about scheduling. I have to cool it with the cars until I get a roof on the house... I hope to see your car going again before long.

choover1101
Well, I finally had to start pulling parts off of my Legacy, I miss her. My son (firstborn) was born on new years eve. And I picked up a 2001 Forester. So far have had to take the alternator suspension, brakes, wheels and tires. She has become a someday project, however I have an amazing wife who talked me out of taking it to the scrap yard because she knows I love this car.
