Dezz924
After looking around the forums and the Subaru parts sites I am confused about the 'fake' buttons on the switch panel on the left side of the steering wheel (the one for mirror adjustment). When I first saw them I assumed that other Subaru models had actual switches there, but after browsing the Subaru parts website it appears that they all use the same part, 83002AG060. My friend who has an outback has the same panel as well. Attached is a picture from my 05 legacy. The left button heats the wipers, but the middle and right 'buttons' don't move if you try pushing them. Does anyone know of a car that has buttons on the middle and right that actually do something? I can't imagine why they would be there unless other subarus had buttons there. I just finished up my headlights project and was thinking it would be perfect to find a panel with buttons from a junkyard and hook up the extra switches to the custom lighting. Thanks! Infosecdad
Look for JDM versions of that panel. I think some of them had a folding side mirror switch and ECO mode. http://i.imgur.com/DqRR8.jpg
