My 2005 Subaru LGT is Broken!

Hello everyone,

 

So I was driving minding my own business and then the CEL started flashing. I managed to find a parking lot where I plugged in my ECU reader. P0303 Cylinder #3 misfire. So I buy a new set of plugs gap them perfectly and installed them along with a new Coil for Cylinder #3. I cleared the codes and it didn’t fix the problem. My friend says it could be Injector? I’ve also been told it could be PCV being stuck. Please enlighten me with your insightful and hopefully accurate and backed up information. to rule out the injector, swap it with another cylinder and see if the misfire code moves with the injector. aside from that, you could have piston or valve issues as well. a leak-down and compression test is in order for you.

Moved to the 4th-gen forum- you'll probably get more traffic and more advice in here. whitetiger is pretty much spot-on, though.

Yep, swap the injector to another cylinder and pray the misfire moves with the injector.

Make sure the coil pack connector is unbroken and seated properly as well.
