Whitesnake
Greetings all, I also own a Legacy, but this question is basic as far as getting parts for a Subaru Ascent. Has anyone used http://www.subaruparts.com or http://www.subarudirectwholesale.com for Parts? I need to replace my wife's passenger side mirror, and need to order the following parts. Of course Subaru direct is more expensive, but the other two have different pricing. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks Subaru | SubaruParts | SubaruDirectWholesale R View Mirror Unit $204.95 | $162.32 | $137.73 Product ID: 91036XC11C Lower Cover $33.25 | $26.33 | $25.74 Product ID: 91054FL21A Cover Cap Out Mirrh $54.28 | $62.30 | $54.28 Product ID: 91059FL13A

I also didn't have to pay shipping. Just picked it up at the parts counter.

xt2005bonbon
I've used subaruparts.com several times. I believe it is an actual dealership in Tacoma. If they have a good price, I get the parts from them. Keep in mind it can take some time to get some parts.
ammcinnis
https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/, a Subaru dealer parts operation located in Hicksville, NY, has been a vetted Forum vendor for many years. I have placed a number of orders with them and have always been satisfied with the results. You can expect discounts of up to 30% off Subaru's MSRP on most maintenance and repair parts, as well as on Subaru accessories. See the Vendor subforum for more information. chowser51
For big things, your local dealership is probably cheaper because of shipping costs. I ordered a hood insulation panel for my kid's car and the dealership was cheaper by $50!
DougKelly20
Yeah, I've found the shipping costs are the big drawback to these sites. I needed a couple exhaust bolts and they were twice as much to ship as to buy, but for more expensive but not huge items you might find a sweet spot. My grille was actually in that category. ncted
That's where i got the subaru price from (local dealer) To clarify: the prices for my local dealer were better online than in person at the parts counter. Not sure if I made that clear.
