amp583 Posted June 22, 2015 Share Posted June 22, 2015 I'm installing my Q300 CBE shortly and have a few questions: - I know when I installed my Cobb Downpipe, it fit right in with the OEM Catback, that is the flange fit 2.5" Now that I'm putting in the q300, do I need an adapter to fit the 3"? - Gaskets seem to range from $2.70 on Rally direct for some 2 bolt exhaust gasket to like $12 a piece for Grimmspeed or Invidia. Does it matter if the gasket OD and shape doesn't match the mounting plate IF the ID does fit the hole? I do have permatex... boxman Posted June 22, 2015 Share Posted June 22, 2015 Assuming that the Invidia has a factory style flared connection you can nest an OEM donut gasket inside the after market 3" donut gasket and get a good seal. The factory gasket fits snugly on the Cobb DP, the 3" fits snugly in the flared pipe end on the exhaust. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
amp583 Posted July 7, 2015 Author Share Posted July 7, 2015 When I installed my DP, i purchased a new OEM donut gasket. Would i have to replace that again or is it reusable?
