Dragging front driver caliper?

I believe that my front driver side caliper is dragging due to the excessive brake dust on the wheel compared to the passenger side. Wondering if anyone has any other possibilities and also where I can get a replacement at a low cost due to limited funds. Any help would be appreciated.

excessive dust might show a problem. You need to pull the wheel off and check into the problem. First thing to check is to make sure the two sliders actually move. Next, examine the pistons in the caliper and make sure the boots are in good shape.

Other obvious signs of a problem is when you get out of the car, if the wheel in question is physically warmer than the opposite side.

I just did front brakes about 3k ago and everything seemed good but will def check again as I may have missed something.

If you find the brake slides fine, check to see the wheel bearing is good. Sometimes as they go bad and loosen up, it allows the rotor to move out of plane of the calipers causing it to rub on the pads more than normal.

This happened on my old grand-am. Swapped calipers. Still happened. Turned out to be a clogged, disintegrating brake line. Replaced the brake line at the caliper, and no more hang ups.

Took driver side apart and cleaned everything and lubed it and re assembled everything. Seems a bit better but will have to wait to see if the rim get coated in dust again more than the passenger side
