We don't have Lo-Jack in my neck of the woods, but that might be it... At least when I sold my car, I removed all traces of an old Compustar that wasn't working anymore... some folks have no shame. I would charge 40 bucks to remove easier devices when I did that stuff professionally. Or just trace each wire back to where it goes, fix any damages caused by the install. Shouldn't be too hard.
