Billion
About to get my first car and I want to get a 4th gen legacy, I can't decide which model to choose. It is either the 2.0 ,2.5 or 3.0, no turbos because it is too hard to insure, I like the power of the 3.0, but the 2.5 and 2.0 has better fuel economy. Help me decide. Thanks
StoplightAssassin
I'm assuming you aren't in the US. If no turbos are allowed, I would want the 3.0r Spec B.
Billion
Yea I am from Australia and we have so many strict car laws!
careercadaver
As a first car any of those models are going to be enough. The usdm 2.5's have some head gasket issues around 100K miles. Though I hear great things about either the 2.0 and 3.0...should be quite reasonable on maintaninence as well...
gimpydingo
When buying my 3013 3.6R I told the sales guy I wanted a new 2012 GT if he could find one. He found 2, one being bought by a sales guy at some dealer back east, the other was in Australia, where no one will buy it and the owner of the dealership would just let it rust in the showroom. Sigggghhhhh.....

In that case...Liberty 3.0r spec B Look up some of the exhaust videos for the liberty 3.0r and tell me it doesn't make beautiful music!
