computersoc
I had my car up on a lift at a shop and saw I have holes in the exhaust clamps. I forgot how many clamps there are. Is it two? Are they serviceable or do I need a cat back? What size are they? Will I be able to get them off since they're so rusted?
Sarang
My Legacy did not have any exhaust clamps stock. Did you get a picture? Any reputable exhaust shop should be able to replace rusted exhaust parts without needing to purchase OEM parts. I had a muffler that I got on Amazon welded in for ~$50 a couple of years ago. computersoc
No pictures but I'm guessing the 2.5L Legacy (mine) will have a different setup than the LGT.
dgoodhue
I had a ‘12 2.5i like the original poster and the exhaust doesn’t have any exhaust clamps. It is just bolts and gaskets between the junctions. I suspect that are either taking about rusted flanges or they exhaust is rusted where the exhaust hanger is welded. The could also be talking about the heat shield near the engine being rusted out.
