PATS4LIFE
Is there a way we can make our reverse camera stay on whenever we want to? 2015+ wrx/sti has a wire harness for it but it won't work with a cvt transmission,at least that's what is says on Subispeed site. Brisvegas
http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/showthread.php?p=2597713[/url/QUOTE] I have never been able to connect with the Outback forum .... either by following a link like the one above, or by trying via a search engine. (I have no luck with Firefox or I.E ) ..... after about 45 seconds all I get is an error message saying " Connection has timed out." This is not recent ... I have never been able to connect, but I have absolutely no trouble with any other site ( I don't know if the "dot.org" in the URL has anything to do with the problem?) I'm just wondering if any other forum members have had a similar problem? This is only a minor annoyance which I can easily live with, and whilst Doctor Google tells me that there are dozens of possible remedies involving changing settings etc, I'm not prepared to alter my settings and possibly stuffing up my successful connection to 99.999% of websites just for the sake of this one problem site, ... so as I said, I'm just wondering if I am alone out there

Yoda_One
@Brisvegas Your best bet would use a front end such as Tapatalk or use Chrome or Silk for the Web. But my gut is telling me you have the site blocked. Brisvegas
Have tried Google Chrome? Thanks to you and Rowlette for the input. I'm not a big fan of Chrome, and I can't see how it is a browser problem ..... I tend to think like Rowlette is suggesting, that the site is being blocked somehow, I've done some checking and I have also tried temporarily disabling my virus protection but that didn't help ..... oh well like I say .... it's a bit annoying but not the end of the world ... I'll continue to try some basic fixes but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Thanks anyway guys.
Brisvegas
Pat, I've swung around to your way of thinking. I was just talking to a friend who has his own small website and he tells me that the developers of his site have asked for reasonably big dollars to upgrade his existing site to include viewing by browsers other than Chrome .... which he can't really justify to pay, so in his case Chrome is needed to view his site ....... So perhaps there is a similar thing happening with the Subaru Outback site??? I guess the proof would be if anyone who doesn't have Chrome can connect to the Outback site with I.E. then my latest theory is still wrong

SVXdc
The problem with SubaruOutback.org is that it's bogged down with tons of ads if you don't either A) register on the site or B) use an ad-blocker. That may be what's nailing you.
