blackacres
Hi Lonely Driver, And Hello from a fellow Canuck! Considering that Subaru body platforms remained almost identical from 03 - 07, a lot of parts such as; seats, motors, transmissions, and drivetrain components could be interchanged. I own a 06 Impreza STI, and even though the body has been lowered a bit, I can easily fit 235/40/18 on a set of 18" Volk wheels. I have attached several photos to give you an idea how easily they fit my Impreza, which has been lowered approximately 1.5". http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk50/blackacres54/Subaru%20pics/002_zpsqdzwicgf.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk50/blackacres54/Subaru%20pics/IMG_3006_zps046zdvtr.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk50/blackacres54/Subaru%20pics/IMG_2997_zpslbko8kr4.jpg http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk50/blackacres54/Subaru%20pics/IMG_2993_zpshxqu0vlt.jpg Cheers, Norman
Zac88
How wide are those wheels?
jrho
Aren't the Spec B wheels 7 inch wide? I wouldn't put that wide of a tire on a 7" wheel. Minimum width I would recommend is an 8" to put on a
Marvick08GT
I had 235's on a 7.5" rim no problem. I find it hard to believe the spec b wheels are only 7". Good luck
shralp
Will a 235 fit on a 7" rim? Yes. Is it a good idea? No. Stick with 225's as they are way more available from various manufacturers and you won't affect your handling adversely by risking a bit of ballooning from putting to wide a tire on too narrow a rim with equals compromised handling
Zac88
Thanks guys. I'll go with 225/45R18 for some added sidewall comfort.
gimpydingo
I go with 225/40/18, but the roads I drive are *mostly* well paved.
