dirty thirds

Bought a red STI shift knob. Mine had a worn painted ring and I got a good deal on it. Adds a splash of color to the interior.

 

Installed the Boomba shift plate on Saturday. It took a bit longer than I expected since I ended up removing the entire cross member so I could get a good swing to drive out the roll pin. The feel is quite a bit different but I do like it.

Now you need the boomba stick! I hear it fits really well in the WRX shifter.

Thanks for the enabling, but I think I'm done with everything that has to do with the shifter now.

 

 

I have 4 main areas I want to address now:

 

Suspension - Koni or Cusco

Exhaust - probably just axle back

Window Tint

Etune - something like Cryotune

Installed the Lamin-x yellow fog light overlays. When sticking them on, I remembered seeing on here that they do not cover the entire lens and a different one covers better. So I centered them up the best I could. All in all, I like the look. Time will tell if they actually help in fog light needed situations.

Garybnj also had a borla catback he was selling, I don't know if he still has it. That would be worth a look too.

Last week I installed the Sport rear subframe support (20157AJ040). Was not too bad, but the rear diff needed a jack to keep the subframe from being pushed away from the body by the springs.

 

 

Installed a set of factory STI center caps.

 

 

Perrin, made for a wrx but modified to fit the 5th gen.

 

 

 

Would those work on a 3.6R? I feel like somebody told me the pipes are the same on the GT and the 3.6R.

If air suspension wasn't $2k I would make you a package deal with my koni setup, lol. But I cant stomach that price, lol.

Keep in mind they are discontinued so you'll have to buy FL's or find another set used.
