AT and MT center armrest difference

Recommended Posts

I noticed something was different in the GT yesterday. Not bad, just different. The center armrest is sloped in the front compared to the Outback. I'm guessing more clearance for shifting.

For the outback, is it just larger inside the top pocket, or does it have more organizational stuff on the inside of the lid? (sort of like the Legacy GT has the little pocket for a card (I have a gate access card in there))

This has made me realize that there is different armrests for trim levels too. Mine is a factory-order base model, and as such has a kind of crappy rubberized plastic armrest. Time to go junkyard searching for an up-trim armrest. I can't imagine it wouldn't be a straight swap out right?

The arm rest on my 2.5GT limited maybe look nicer than my 2.5i premium but they both are vinyl. The armrest on my 2.5GT limited is similar to the ruberized material on the door panel.
