sirtokesalot
ive been helping a friend do a manual swap on a 2004 h6 outback the swap is done and the car runs well being a manual but we are getting a p0866 TCM Communication Circuit High code so far the only code its spitting out. is there a way to work around this code short of plugging a transmission back into it? we did build a resistor line to mimic the transmissions sensors/solenoids and the tcu is still plugged in but its not happy about something. doublechaz
The second gens have a pin at the ECU that you ground to signal that there is no TCM and make the car into a manual. I'd look to see if there is a similar pin for the third gen.

doublechaz
Yep, Tactrix was my next thought. My Tactrix lives with me in AZ. You're probably far away?
