They are awesome! I just drove home in the pouring rain in the pitch black night.. I was able to pass traffic without a problem, everyone else was coming to a crawl once they start becoming the front of a pack. I just lead, and walk them, and leave them behind.. and I am only driving 65 in a 55 (as we all know people just slow down to a crawl when it rains like crazy).

I did the PIAA Ion Crystal swap a little while ago and there is a definite improvement in visibility in rain/mist/fog. For really poor conditions, if you do the fog lights only mod you can then just run with parking lights (so your tails and side markers are lit) plus only the fogs so you have no glare back from the headlights.

I just switched out the factory headlight bullbs yesterday with PIAA Xtreme White Plus 4000K for a little whiter low beams, and PIAA Xtreme Force 4700K for slight blue tint highs. I don't get to use the highs too often, and if there's any reduced visibility or oncomming traffic I wouldn't be using the highs anyway so no concern about glare. Also, when they're off and viewed from head on the high beam reflectors looks blue, which I think complements the Regal Blue paint.

I tried the blue headlight film but never could get it to fit flat over the entire headlight housing because of the bulge, no matter how much adjusted it so gave up on those.

I'll try to get some pix up eventually (gotta get me my own digicam 'cause the wife's always got "ours" somewhere).

where are you guys sourcing the bulbs?

The got a pair of the PIAA H3 Ion Crystal bulbs for $44 shipped from TruckXpressions.

I used eBay "Buy It Now" on a pair of PIAA H7 Xtreme White Plus from EuroParts Direct at $60 shipped, and also for a pair of PIAA Xtreme Force 9005 bulbs from PK-Motoring at $72 shipped.

These were the best prices I could find. Each vendor got their package to me within a week so I'm a satisfied customer of all three of them.

Which bulb are you talking about when you did the wedge bulb? I received a free pair of Phillips blue w5w bulbs with my order.

Cool, thanks. Now I have to find brighter backup light bulbs. The owners manual says they are 921 bulbs at 12V/16w. I found piaa bulbs which look simular, but are called w2 at 12v/18w. Are these the same bulbs? Can the w2 bulb be used in the legacy for the backup light? If not, does anyone know where brighter bulbs can be found for the legacy backup light?

Also, in the owners manual, I could only find directions on how to change the license plate bulbs for the station wagon. Does the sedan follow the same procedure. If not, do you have directions on how to change the license plate bulbs?

Thanks,

John
