05RedGTWagon
Installed the OEM hitch and 1UP USA bike rack this weekend. Really happy overall. One question, is it possible to add the extra brackets that come on the outback? and is it worth it? Here are some pics
Claw
That's a sexy rack.. I was going to get one until I asked how much they'd charge for shipping to Canadaland.

tito_b0y
This is the exact setup I'm looking to get for my sedan. Any fitment issues regarding the curved gusset and the rack's attachment bolt? For example: The curved gusset interferes with a Yakima bolt in this post Also, where and how much did you get your OEM hitch? 2006 SWP 3.0R 5EAT VDC BBQ 2008 OBP 2.5i 4EAT BBQ [RIP]

This rack doesn't have a through bolt, it has a ball that expands in the hitch tube to secure the rack. I'll try to get a picture of what I'm talking about this weekend. What's your security measure? From your pictures it looks like you can loop a decent size cable wire through the hitch tube and bumper and lock both hitch and bike(s), no? 2006 SWP 3.0R 5EAT VDC BBQ 2008 OBP 2.5i 4EAT BBQ [RIP]
05RedGTWagon
the hitch has a special allen bolt to prevent someone from taking your hitch but you could run a cable lock through the frame, rack and hitch. no need to go through bumper.
