dham Posted September 3, 2018 Share Posted September 3, 2018 08 GT. Car has been having troubles when turning over. Had the battery checked and it is good. Starter doesn't seem to be the issue as it turns and turns. No CEL. Any ideas? Fuel pump? Wouldn't a bad fuel pump produce a code? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Max Capacity Posted September 3, 2018 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Lets start over, by "turn over" do you mean the starter is not engaging and spinning the engine ? that's "not turning over". If your thinking the fuel pump, that would be, no noise from under the rear seat when the key is turned to "On". The engine would turn over but not start or fire up. Car won't turn over is most likely a battery issue or starter. JmP may be on to something with the crank sensor. Here's the service manual for you, http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/ 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). dham Posted September 3, 2018 Author Share Posted September 3, 2018 Thank you everyone. Crank sensor seemed to be the issue. Couldn't properly test the old unit as I have a free multi-meter from Harbor Freight and it wasn't working right. Just replaced the crank sensor and the car started right up.
