spacemanspif
Anyone know the acceptable range of readings coming off the EGT sensor to not throw a CEL? I know I should use a 2,200 ohm resistor but I'm wondering if I can use a 680 instead. I have a pack left over from wiring the tach in my other car and would like to use what I have instead of buying new shit to sit in a box forever. JmP6889928
For about $2.00? You drink more coffee than that in the morning. Get the right resistor.
MilesA
Radio Shack has a pack of five for a couple of bucks. I still have four in a spare parts box.
spacemanspif
JmP: I don't drink coffee ;-) Lol MilesA: let me get one of those extras. It's more about having more crap around than the money. I have a serious problem with throwing away "good" parts thats bordering on a hoarding diagnosis...
Max Capacity
Once you get a proper tune you will not need the resistor. I have 5 of them in the box where I keep the AP. They were $1.25 for a package of 5 back in 2010. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
