Scooby Fan
Before you all start ranting that this has been discussed to death....I know that,,,,,, but I decided to do my own test with my own car and my own driving conditions. Yes...this is calculated and not from the on board computer/estimator. Car is a 2006 LGT sedan 5MT....stock motor with 55,000 Km(34,175 miles) on the odometer.....A few minor mods as listed....AVO panel filter....AVO cat-back exhaust....18" OZ Crono HT's with 225/40/18 Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S .....normal tire pressures are 38 F/35 R. I doubt that my Whiteline RSB affects the mileage:lol: I always run 91 or better octane. I checked the mileage meticulously for 10,000 KM (6213.7 miles).....my driving is mixed city, suburbs and the occasional highway trip...I would say the mix is predominantly suburbs with the occasional visit into down town and a few highway runs thrown in. Sporty but not aggressive driving style and almost all of the distance with just me in the car...with my golf clubs. I just finished the test this past week....here is what my LGT actually averaged over that period of 10,000 Km and 8 months. Distances are confirmed from my Garmin GPS....My odometer is out less than 1% compared to the GPS. 10.4 liters per 100 Kilometers.....that is 22.60 MPG using US gallons or 25.89 MPG using Imperial gallons....I am happy with these numbers........certainly not what I would call and econo-car but way better than I expected. planelazy
I'm glad you're fine with the low mpg.. some newer lgt owners seem to think because it's Japanese, that it's economical. I think the average here is around 23-24 mpg... and that's from stock to stage 3.

Max Capacity
Yep, it's pretty much common knowledge that these cars get 22-24mpg in everyday driving. My 1998GT wagon got that, my 2000GT wagon got that, my 2005GT wagon with 280whp gets that and my 2009 Spec B gets that. My friends who have outbacks get the same mpg overall. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. 08 LGT
Had the car almost a month...I get about 23.5 mixed, and 26-26.5 pure highway (speeds ranging from 65-80 MPH, probably an average in the low 70s). On country highways at 60-65 MPH, I get about 27.5-28.5 MPG. With little to no highway miles, I'm guessing I've got 22-22.5 MPG in town. This is all stock, and these are numbers I get when I'm trying to be economical, BTW. Obviously when I'm trying to have some fun, these take a big dive. 1454
he must been drafting behind a semi Nah, it's possible if you're running like 55-60. Then it drops to about 28 ish for 65-70 and 26 ish for 75-80.. But those numbers require very conservative driving on flat highway. It is possible though, as I have accomplished it. I average about 26.5 highway, and 21 or so city. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk

1454
Just over 215 miles on this tank full 26.4mpg on the dash. That was identical to what I got when I was commuting 35 each way to work and only 1 mile was off the interstate. It would fluctuate between 26.4 and 27.6. When I would calculate it I would get like 26-27.. So it was close enough for long enough for me to take the dashes word for it.
