So I've been perusing exhaust options for legacy wagons, and I was actually debating to throw on a stock system and install an electric cutout , so I can have super quiet or super loud, but all the things I hear about cutouts leaking after a while, it seems to nullify having a stock exhaust.

I did find a Australian company called X-Force that makes a "tunable muffer" which is essentially an electric cutout, but inside the muffler. They make a couple of systems with that muffler, unfortunately nothing for the LGT, but looking at their other products, they make a "regular" catback for the legacy . It's a 304 stainless system, with2.5" piping, but its only 440USD? They're a kinda newer company but still, im surprised that it's that cheap. Of course most of the vids on youtube are aussie spec GTs, so equal length header.

here's a mustang with that system:

also btw, I'm still looking for a stock DP and catback for the time being , if anybody has one thats taking up space and wants to convert it into some cash

On a side note, anyone know enough about OCV duty cycles to answer a quick question? http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5726487&postcount=33

^ Have you been logging the ocv angles? They should always be in sync and the same. If not, one of your ocvs may be getting stuck. Or worse, there may be issue with oil flow to one of them (e.g. clogged banjo bolt filter), and you do not want that!

I am using the btssm app and it is called 'vvtint' L/R on it (see screenshot below). I view these things live at all time just to be sure that they are always in sync. Mine, for instance, vary from 0 to 14 degrees. If there's no load on the engine, then these values are usually 0. As soon as the load increases, then you'll see their respective angle increase in sync. The AP has to be able to log these variables too.

Sorry. been spending my day working on our 05 obxt (rear spring/shocks install, timing, spark plugs, troubleshooting why it did not want to start bla bla bla, but then it finally did :)).

Interesting that your values go as high as 45 or something. In any case, the avcs L (blue curve) on your old plot looks like it kept lagging behind. So technically, you only had to change that one :). In any case, now it looks great. And that means better performance. So good on you.

So... I've decided to keep my Legacys. Again. I just have too much done to these cars and I still have a ton of parts in queue and I want to do more to these cars. I'm going to retune my sedan to 91 so I can actually drive it; driving to Orem for E85 has sucked.

We'll have to get a big meet planned for spring.

Nice! e85 sounds like a ton of fun ,but that immidiately goes out the door when you have to deal with stuff like that. Another meet sounds good too!
