K frame ( engine crossmember) - Can I use anything else?

Hey guys,

I have a 4th gen '08 EJ25 that I am engine swapping, can I use a k frame from another car like a Forester GT, or even a series 2 Legacy/Liberty or even a WRX ? I want to get a spare k frame to modify while I have my other ej20 sitting on the engine stand.

I can just about get every other k frame but the 4th gen.

All I can tell you that the front LCA bushings are identical between BL/BP and 08+ WRX, so that cross member is not ruled out yet...

2007 and older WRX/Forester are different. 2nd gen Legacy is also different.

Not sure if it will be helpful, I think this guy was comparing it with a saab crossmember and wrx.

Thanks. I have found that I can get another gen 4 NA 4 cylinder crossmember so I might just get that and cut and shut what I need from that.
