__raj
Our 05 LGT has started to occasionally have difficulty (eg 3 mins crank and but no fire) starting up. We have 125k on it. Unfortunately no check engine light or other symptoms as once it starts it runs like normal (well). Any thing to check out? My wife is nervous now driving her car understandably. joop1987
How is your battery? Old? If the ECU loses power and resets, it takes much longer to crank over the first time.
__raj
Battery replaced in the last 3 yrs. The only change electrically was 4 months back we had alternator issues (spiking voltage).
Max Capacity
Spiking voltage may have damaged the battery. Take the battery to a auto parts store and have it tested. Or for $80.00 go to Walmart and buy a Maxx everstart. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. FYI OP never just hold the starter over on a car that won't start for 3 minutes. If it doesn't fire up to life normally <20seconds something is wrong and that something is not fixed by holding the starter longer.
