PtPixel
Usually don't like the look of whole cars being dipped but white looks really good. How much did all of the plastidip cost? Use a paint gun for it?
Willylump
Thanks! @ptpixel - I've been doing a lot of dipping for friends and whatnot since its very tough to get here in California. I get a deal on the dip so we're talking about $150-200 in material. And yes I've got the gun. Its very necessary to get that nice look without texture. I should have got some spraying shots in that video huh... next time!
MrTris
Why'd you use the 2nd gen badges?

BX77
When you spray it, Do you use the same method as a lacquer or car paint? Do ypu go all in one direction or can you box it?
Willylump
@ MrTris glad you noticed! Had to go Gen 2 badges to spice things up a bit. What do you think? @BX77 you are able to box with plasti-dip although once you're farther into the coats its difficult to tell where you box is haha. So I just going in one direction similar to regular car painting
Brickle
I've been considering dipping my LGT white for a while. It looks so good but I'm just curious as to how well it holds up over time. Gonna dip my wheels black this week, we'll see how that holds up.
NewLegGT67
Looks Awesome!! With a car dipped white have you ever considered some mud flaps? I'm probably the only person that has Wu-Tang Clan and Paul McCartney on their mp3.

kirshnerd
Did you mount those previous-gen badges on top of the dip or were they there previously? -EDIT - spotted them pre-spray in the vid. Looks clean! How many coats? -EDIT - why did you peel the dip off the scoop? shoulda left it white or dipped it black!
RIRED11
That looks really amazing!
Willylump
Thanks everyone! @kirshnerd - Those badges were mounted pre-dip and fortunately the dip makes really clean lines around the badges. I used 4 coats of white on this bad boy. 3 Gallons total. And don't worry the hood scoop is going to be black! Should be happening this weekend along with the roof. theflystyle
One of the better dipped cars... I agree the white probably has the most to do with that.

Hannya
Extremely delightful. Subscribed to your YouTube channel. Magazine for the insight on dipping the car. I may try to dip mine a Cement Grey color similar to the 2010 Scion TC special editions.
Industry
How's this holding up?
Willylump
@Industry - I've actually sold the legacy since this. Sold it about 2 months ago and the new owner like the original silver more so we peeled! Up until then it held up great and the peel process was super easy. Did the whole thing myself in about 30 minutes. Now i'm driving an Evo X and it'll be getting some dip soon!
