Passenger side head rest rattles

For few weeks I’ve been hearing a horrible rattle every time I was going over any minor bumps, I tapped the head rest on the passenger side and boy that was the rattle!

Any way to fix this?

Ive had this in other vehicles... can you put it down to the lowest position so it rests against the chair itself? That usually does it... until someone adjusts it back up again, lol

I did, I put it all the way down and the sucker still rattles.

I'd pull the headrest out completely and tap the seat / headrest by themselves to see if you can isolate the rattle. Neither by themselves may produce the rattle, but it's a troubleshooting start.

Try putting one layer of duct tape around each stake, but make sure you cut out the notches so it still locks. Then push it all the way down.

 

Just a fyi these are more of a head restraint then a headrest and you should have them adjusted accordingly to prevent whiplash.
