IslandGarage
Hello First of all, hello to everyone ! I am an independent Japanese specialist based in Stafford. Over lockdown I have started importing Japanese vehicles. I currently have 4 x 2010 Subaru Legacy GT 2.5L (3 auto, 1 manual) I've already converted KPH to MPH (If anyone has struggled with this your welcome to message me) I am now trying to convert the stereo to UK with a new head unit. Forgive me if there is already posts about this I have tried to find them. Any advise on this conversion would be muchly appreciated ! Thanks in advance
Scubaboo
Welcome! I've looked into it casually and it looks to be a typical 2din radio install where any 2 din radio will drop right in. You will need a bezel for this as the stock radio has a bigger face. There are adapter harnesses so it becomes plug and play...or you can hack and splice. If you mean convert the OE radio from the Japanese frequency band to EU frequencies, sorry, I do not know how to do that or if its possible. Brunzo
Radio frequency conversion will be an issue. The easiest and cheapest way is to use frequency converter. I used to integrate RHD navi (UK version) to my car. The bezel was modified with dremel, fibre plaster and aluminum imitation film. Upgraded to facelift version later on but rhd kenwood is still collecting dust.
