But it depends on what you mean with "fit". Physically - yes, but then there's a lot of surrounding items that are different, so you might need to also transplant the ECM from the later model years and re-route a number of hoses and a lot of other things.

 

 

Nothing is impossible, but it can be hard. Is it a manual or automatic gearbox?

I mean replacement because finding spare part so difficult in Uganda, it's a manual transmission

Manual transmission makes it easier since then there's no worry about gearbox ECU complaining about engine ECU.

 

 

But I'll let others chime in on differences in engines between the model years.
