No dash lights

Found out this morning and neither fuel or temp gauges are working as well.

Common issue?

sounds like a cluster problem if thats the only thing not work. Id take it out and poke around.

Turns out that both gauges are working. Still no lights. Fuse?

So, they came on when I fired her up this evening. Short, perhaps?

Again, all gauges were working.

Sounds like the connection where the bulb touches the socket. They are easy to replace with LED(cheaper,better).

Also, they went out again tonight.

There is only one plug that connects to the back of the cluster. If there was a short in that plug more things wouldn't work, but take it apart to check. We know the bulbs work because you've seen them on and off.

 

 

 

The write up on removing the trim is gone I can only find up to the raido, but it's very similar to most older Subarus.

Will need to check that. Lights are now on. We'll see how long that lasts.

 

This is my first Subaru. All of this is new to me.
