Legacy 2018 front left side clunking noise

I have been experiencing a strange notice from front left side of the car when it goes over the bumps. I have also contacted the dealership and so far they haven't been able to identify the problem. They have replaced at least 3 different parts from there and still no luck.

Have anyone experienced the same problem in 2018 legacy?

Have you replaced the shock absorber?

 

 

Otherwise it may be the rollbar or an endlink that's bad.

They have replaced both the rollbar and the endlinks and still no luck.

Dealership told me there is nothing wrong with shocks

The shocks can be checked by pushing down and lifting the car by hand, if you get a clunk when you do that then you probably have a bad shock anyway regardless of what the dealer says. Especially gas pressure shocks can go bad that way without leaking oil, just leak of gas pressure.

 

 

But also check all engine mounts as well as gearbox mounts including screws for them.

Also check the top mount of the shocks - it's not easy to check, and it's also hard to give good advice without listening to the noise and viewing the car.

This is an issue that’s being talked about in another thread. My car has it along with many others. It’s believed to be something loose in the steering rack. Usually happens at lower speeds and when the car is still warming up.

There is a TSB for a small spring replacement in the steering rack. Fixes the issue for me.
