danpryor13gmail.com Posted August 6, 2018 Share Posted August 6, 2018 Hey guys, I have recently noticed a knocking noise coming from the front suspension/brake area when braking at really low. Also my brake pads have started putting out a lot of brake dust as I think they are cheap/rusty pads. Not sure if this could be related as I have seen some info about slipping pads?. pawling11 Posted August 12, 2018 Share Posted August 12, 2018 What do you mean by slipping pads? A knocking noise could be any number of things. Does it happen consistently when braking at low speeds, or do you have to be turning a certain direction? Is the noise directly related to wheel speed? If you can determine that the noise is coming from a particular side, I would suggest: jack the car up, take the wheel off, poke around in there and wiggle some components to see if you can pinpoint the issue.
