And because I know how cheap you got that 6 speed swap 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

jonah_ow
Poor picture.. but I just installed my OEM sub. My car didn't come with it and since I have an 08 radio and AUX cubby the stereo has a hard time keeping up! This works great! jonah_ow
This is my current interior setup. Black carpet, door cards, pillar trim, lower dash etc with the tan seats and wood trim from the tan interior. I have a set of 08 spec b door cards sitting around.. need to get the seats! Holla
Do you have any pics of the full interior like that? I had intended on doing the exact same interior setup but I was able to source the black wagon seats and just did the full conversion instead. Why the black bumper for winter? Now I'm wondering what you paid for the spec b 6 speed swap

And the bumper is off a USDM spec b. Uploading full interior shots in my next post! Edited February 5, 2017 by jonah_ow
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted February 4, 2017 I Donated Too Share Posted February 4, 2017 I am happy you got such a good deal on the transmission. Couldn't be more deserving of it Jonah. Car looks good in the snow... you will have more of that next week!

jonah_ow
An underappreciated modification.. my steering coupler developed dangerous play and a horrendous noise. Replaced with a solid STI coupler and all is well!

Holla
Carzy deal on that spec b trans swap. They're difficult to find let alone for that kind of price. The inertior looks pretty good like that. I think it would look better if the plastic parts of the seats were also black. But really, all black is really the best bet. Overall, the car looks great. Engine bay even presents well for an east coast car. Did you detail it? I wouldn't even know where to start to restore mine to looking like that. I run a detailing business on the side and keep my car very clean. The engine bay gets occasional love but it's not as clean as it used to be. (Shameless plug for east coast members http://www.facebook.com/jwmdetail) The Process West Intercooler I got used and the Cobb EBCS as well. Same with the VF52... I just pieced things together along the way knowing my 255 was on borrowed time. So nothing is pristine but it cleans up well when I make the effort. Living on a dirt road, cleaning the engine bay only happens before shows or when I am extremely bored lol. I personally love the tan seats mostly because I've found them to be loads more comfortable than any black ones in the 2005 cars. But of course at the time I found a deal on everything BUT the seats. I'm a big fan of how it's different but still OEM. Edited February 5, 2017 by jonah_ow
JohnnyWas
How are you liking the PW TMIC??
jonah_ow
How are you liking the PW TMIC?? It's been great. It has a large core with smaller endtanks than the GS one so it fits easier and better IMO. The only drawback is you cannot run any sort of blowoff valve. Due to the fact that the flange faces the hood, it simply won't fit. This particular one was off of a 2012 WRX and the only difference is one of the underside brackets was missing but none of that has proven to be an issue. I have been running it for 2 years.
