KawaiiGuy
I know that a Tubro back is an exhaust from the down pipe to the end tip and a Cat Back exhaust is from the Cat to the end tip. But what's the difference in power output and emission (AKA Smog check)? Anyone have a list of exhaust available for the Legacy GT? Thanks for any help
KawaiiGuy
Ohh and it's a Legacy GT Sedan. I know Greddy makes 2 exhaust for the Legacy but they're both for the wagon only.
3sgtepower
actually, turbo back is from the turbo exhaust housing and back to the tip (so it would be a downpipe plus midpipe and the 2 mufflers). Catback is just from the end of your downpipe to the end tips. Turboback won't pass smog catback will pass smog IF you're downpipe is stock and holds the 2 cats. (i think) Power output will have a difference (less cats = less restriction = more power) but it won't be anything dramatic. There are quite a few exhauts out. do a search. Enlight
Where is the best place to put a cat? I want to run at least one, just ont in the uppipe. And would it be ok to run up+downpipe withoutECU management for a long period of time? muFreight.co A JDM Container Sharing Service from Japan to NYC Website | Instagram | Email Bessie II's Thread
3sgtepower
there's no need to have a cat in the up-pipe, that will definitely slow down the spool. You can run up+dp on stock ecu, but you won't feel as much difference as compared to if you did have some sort of tuning. best place for a cat is somewhere on the downpipe.
