you dont need to purchase all pillar .

A pillar , cover yours with fabric

B pillar needed to have a least the sliding center section black , buy black cap

C pillar cover yours with fabric , buy black cap

usdm sti , 2008 to 2014 , share the same components .

map light , dome light , trunk light

handle , but i think sti dont have the handle with hook .

sun visor should be the same , i know the cap is different , so can not comfirm untill somebody try .

Cap pillar

i never find the parts number for wagon cap C pillar:cool: a mystery ! . so i used the cap of sedan C pillar .

need to be modified cause is different , the way it clip on . i grinded a litlle the pillar slot and modified the cap and reinforced it with epoxy . also the shape is a little different so i clamped on place over night .IMG_3518.thumb.JPG.bf27a8d81d7f3ec73b583a8758a4ead4.JPG

the C pillar need to be disassembled to re cover with fabric . you will need to grind the palstic spot in the back and after glue it back with epoxy .

for the seat belt located on the roof i used the black cover jdm that are made for the non sunroof trim . they are different parts , so i had to re shape the headliner .

i made a plug and a mold of the section . did a fiberglass parts bonded on the headliner and blended.

seat belt upper attachment .

before IMG_2936.thumb.JPG.e16f7fdea13f839b3920523dc8cd8f06.JPG

after IMG_3894.thumb.JPG.c358bdfba45232dc2a2a2b10e6b1b170.JPG

i decided to switch the seat belt upper attachment. so in order to proceed i had to buy a use set of jdm seat belt .

the jdm can not be swap complete( for my knowledge) cause some small difference . please refer to pics . the jdm have a tensionner for the driver side , what i dont have on my 06 and anyway it will be passenger side for me .

do this mod if you feel confident and judge for yourself the safety result .

in order to unroll the belt you need to remove the ratchet system , after that iis easy to unroll the belt and to access the pin to remove the belt from the roler . clamp lightly the gear cause it still spring actuated .

the hanger can not be removed , the end of the belt is too thick to pass .

for the usdm you can destroy the hanger to get it out , you dont need it .

for the jdm , cut the belt , take it out and slot the opening 3mm (1/8) so you can pass the belt thru to reassemble .

i did the opening with a hand grinder , i m use too but is very risky!

best is to go to a machine shop , and only slot the top of the opening belt not the side where the belt will slide .

do this at your own risk .

i used a map light from an STI .

everything is plug and play , cause is a sedan one of the sunroof switch have no use .

i also decided to switch the airbag lighting to the same place , the sti section is a mic and the section can not be remove , so with a little bit of grinding and drilling all fit in place .

Seems like a lot of work to me. Why not just paint the parts that you have black? SEM makes excellent paint for exactly this use.

look like a lot of work but is not .

there is no need to paint the parts , there are available in black .

this thread is intended for people that seek a oem quality like myself .

The price difference would probably be huge. I would bet that all those interior pieces would probably run close to a grand. I know the sun visors are around $125 each. For the price of 3 or 4 SEM cans, you can probably do the whole interior.

sometime you dont have to look too far to find it .

the sedan usdm base holder is black and fit the wagon !

you will have to slot the piece to insert the belt for installing the headliner . no easy to install cause you will have to insert thru the belt at same time you positionning the headliner !

but can be an idea if you dont want to modify like i did .

what SEM product would you use?

For most hard vinyl, plastic items as well as smaller fabric pieces I would use SEM color coat #15243, satin black. I think it matches the factory black fairly well.I haven't used it on larger fabric areas like the headliner,so not too sure how it would look. Things like the dome light and possibly high wear parts might be better bought in OEM black.

This is a great write-up and should be sticky'd.

Amazing work.

I'm going to be doing this just trying to find spare interior trim parts to minimize my down time.

Ho-ly shit!!! I've had the upper trim from my wife's totaled BL sitting here in my office for like 8 months waiting to be blackened-- I actually wrapped the A pillars last night but now I don't think I'll be using them. This thread is absolutely incredible man, thank you **so much** for the part numbers! I've done DIY interior wraps before and while they always come out looking just fine, its really nothing compared to the quality of OEM especially for an OEM+ nut like me (and you, obviously). Thank you again for taking the time to put together such a comprehensive list of parts and fine details, you are the real MVP!!
