Mill Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 MY2005 I am in the process of replacing the canister purge valve (p1443 code and cant fill the gas tank). I found the vapor canister in the drivers side wheel well, but I cant seem to locate the purge valve. Vacation pics do not really show the location. Anybody done this before? ehsnils Posted August 25, 2012 Share Posted August 25, 2012 It's the "drain valve", not the "purge valve", the latter is found on the manifold and if that is bad you will at most get a code and nothing else. The drain valve is an integral part of the canister according to the workshop manual.
