True, but you should bring up your budget for real track racing. If you have a family that objects, dispose of them!

driving at 100% on a track is quite an expensive proposition. Driving at 100% at an autox event is $75.

But soooo much less track time. Too bad real racing kart tracks don't exist in the NE. The Midwest rules for kart racing.

the lack of track time is made up with the fact that you can find an autox event nearly every weekend around here, and you are actually competing at some level, where most easily accessible track will only do HDPEs which is not real competition.

Meh. Standing around in the hot sun for 8 hours or more for a measly four runs of less than a minute each gives me no wood. And an autox cannot match the feeling of a race kart on slicks at full boogie through even a 30 mph turn. G forces rule. Those Nancy indoor karts on slick tracks are a pale comparison to the real thing.

I stand for less than 2hrs tops and get 6-8 runs and leave by 2pm. Then again nnjr-scca is a well oiled machine
