rmodel65
So I jumped off my moms 91 legacy. It's been sitting a few months. Transmission is previously rebuilt. Car started and it feels like you're starting in 3rd gear also the car has a ton of torque bind when turning at a slow speed. Is it a sensor in the transmission? RumbleRumble
Have you checked the trans fluid or for leaks first? What does it do when you select the other gears?
rmodel65
Seems to be in limp mode. Has torque bind at low speeds when turning. When I get up to about 35-40 car feels normal again
wtdash
Did you check the TCU (Transmission computer) for codes? I'm guessing the POWER light is flashing 16 times on startup. This is NOT the code, but tells you there IS a code stored in TCU. Read THIS: https://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/trans.html And the bad news this may mean the trans is toast. 3rd gear is 'limp home' mode, but hopefully you just need to fix/replace a sensor. And what does "So I jumped off my moms 91 legacy" mean?
