AC compressor sensor?

Hello i am looking for some help with my 1994 subaru legacy wagon 2.2l Bea Arthur. So I was messing around with my stereo and accidentally crossed the power wire and ground wire and blew my stereo fuse. I keep spare fuses in the fuse box under the hood and when I went to grab one to replace the fuse i noticed that the sensor coming from the ac compressor wasnt hooked to anything. Its connected to the compressor but the other end of this really long wire is not connected to anything. I was wondering where this is supposed to be hooked up to? My ac compressor still works but when it kicks on its moving really slow.
