I've heard there's one wire on the DRL connector to remove so the DRLs won't work but everything else will. The thing is which wire? Does anyone have a diagram of each wires function?

You need to remove the wire that makes the DRL do it's job. I haven't found which one of the wires it is. You might ask your Subaru mech or parts guy.
