My best mpg was around 60-70 mph and steadily dropped above that. 80 mph is about 3k rpm which is right about where boost starts to really build with my tune, so I'm guessing that's why it goes down....

The refrigerant charge has an oil mixed in with it to lubricate the compressor - If the refrigerant is extracted, you'll likely also lose a good portion of that oil which could damage the compressor.
