  1. got it back together last night and drove it to work today. no rattles. you are the man witht his thread. for the instrument cluster, once you remove the pieces under the steering column and the metal plate behind that, you can look up at the bottom of the instrument cluster and there are two small screws up there that go into the bottom of the cluster. after all three screws were out, I put a towel on the top of the column and pulled the cluster forward and disconnected the two wire harnesses on the back. this gave me enough room to move the cluster side to side to get the two screws out behind the cluster. I left the cluster sit there wrapped in an old t shirt until the dash was completely loose then lifted up on the dash to get the cluster out. make sure to protect the face while it is waiting for removal. i already had the vents and radio out before the cluster, so i had good access for moving it around. during installation, i set the dash in place then raised it up enough to get the cluster back in. Thanks again for all the help this thread provided!!
  2. just got mine apart. took two and a half hours of slow fun. the blue clip in the center has two push to releases one on each side. all three of them (two white and one blue) rattled like hell in the hole. also, all of my vent ducting attached to the underside of the dashboard rattled against other ducting parts. I will try to get some pics to explain that last one, but the rattles were at the center and drivers vents. i have to go and get an air filter while the glove box is out and some cloth tape to finish up. also, about three or four clips broke on manufacture. dont get it. i got the car four months old used... dont know what else could have done it. those loose pieces were rattles as well.
  3. anymore guidance on how to remove the dash and any sticking points? the search did not come up with a step by step. i am thinking about doing this. how many screws...where...
  4. i agree with battery...thats frickin cold...i wont roll over either in that kind of environment!
  5. BD we will have to plan a drive by in the Dova area... Maybe I just drive too fast to be spotted???
