  1. Been a while, figured I throw a current pic in here... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1432578609896.jpg
  2. Thanks! See link below: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WRX-STI-08-11-GE-GH-1-5-DROP-SUSPENSION-BLUE-FRONT-REAR-RACING-LOWERING-SPRING-/160584810570?hash=item256399c04a Here is a Front End Friday picture: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1428439135913.jpg
  3. UPDATE: Installed the coilovers over the weekend and here are a few key takeaways: 1) Rear coilovers bolt up just fine, but they require to be adjusted to max lowered height (both spring and body) to match the height that the front sits at with the factory settings. I am not sure if the WRX has a deeper rear strut tower that requires more length, but this can be corrected with a shorter coilover spring than the 8" the kit brings (6" or 7" perhaps) 2.) Front strut camber plate mount MUST be swapped to 06-07 WRX. The seller was able to swap these out without any hassle, and gave me a full refund when I returned the original 08-14 WRX plates that came with the kit. 3.) Front lower strut mount had to be re-slotted in the Legacy's bolt circle. This was the most painful modification of all, since it required invasive, drilling and machining of the lower mount to accept the legacy's narrower bolt circle. I am not sure if any other model year WRX's have a matching lower front strut mount to the 5th gen legacy, but it would not hurt to find out. maybe the 06-07 strut fits 100% and therefore could make the entire job much easier (Just order 2EA Front 06-07 WRX units, and 2EA Rear 08-14 WRX Units). 4.) Ride quality is pretty good for a -$400 set of full coilovers. The spring rate is 8K all around, and the struts are about medium to medium hard in the stiffness category. Little to no bouncing at all, and even on crappy roads, the car always feels in control. I will obviously report back in 6 months and then one year to provide feedback on how they are holding up, but for now I love them. Perhaps might be able to set up a group buy if we can determine the lower front mount situation. Here is a reference photo showing how the anodized blue color matched the Megan 22mm sway bar: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1428433797911.jpg Here is how the car sits at the moment: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/FB_IMG_1428272285767.jpg
  4. Okay update.. I stand corrected and had my values wrong. The Spring rates are 8KG F/8KG R (makes sense because they are for the WRX anyway which requires even rates as well). More info to come.
  5. Currently in the process of having EM USA produce coilovers for the 5th gen. They sell both 08-11 WRX and 06-07 WRX Coilovers, however our cars share all the 08-11 WRX components except for the top hats, which it shares with the 06-07 WRX. All they would have to do is assemble some sets involving 08-11 WRX coilovers with 06-07 WRX front camber plates, and you have a 10-14 LGT coilover set for less than $400 bucks. I got my set this weekend and asking them about swapping the front top plates. So far they are cooperating. Will keep you guys posted. $399 is hard to beat for 8k/6k coilovers that have camber adjustment and pillowball mounts. CEO of this company is ex sales director for D2 racing North America, so the quality and build is comparable at a fraction of the cost of a new set of D2 racing coilovers ($995+) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/IMG_20150328_103547.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/IMG_20150328_103551.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/IMG_20150328_103316.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/IMG_20150328_103310.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/2015-03-28%202.jpg
  6. Haha thanks! Current picture... installed JDM Style visors but I think I am going with OEM instead. Will probably post these for sale here soon. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1426162449621.jpg
  7. Thanks, just got this in yesterday. 22mm Rear Swaybar. Drove me crazy how it was metallic candy blue http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/0311152246.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/0311152246a.jpg
  8. No, they're actual lowering springs. I have ran their springs on lots of my cars and know their marketing manager. He used to work in product management for Megan racing so I am sure they are just re-branded megan springs. Never had a problem with them and they are nice and stiff. Sometimes it's just who ya know
  9. Thanks GTeaser. Currently on DNA Motoring and looking to invest in some coilovers if Tax Return season treats me decent.
  10. Hi guys, I joined over 2 weeks ago, and here is my baby. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1426075982525.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/xzel/PicsArt_1426076524285.jpg
