I purchased it new in dec. 2004

It has 69K on an STI short block installed by Becker Subaru
ACT street clutch
uninstalled AVO turbo inlet(it was like 260ish box)
Perrin Topmount IC 70K on it
Turbo XS dp with under 100 miles on it
VF 52 with under 100 miles on it
walbro 255 with 70k on it
DW 740s with 70K
subaru spark plugs 5k miles on them
tuned by Precision tuning (i can't find the dyno sheet, it was a while ago, i think it was slightly under 300whp and 300 wtq since i wanted it mild and reliable)
BBS RK 7x17 and stock rims
Kartboy shifter bushing and short throw shifter

has a CV boot problem i may or may not get around to fixing, I'm rather busy at the moment, this car is now parked and i will be pulling the plate and transferring it to my new beater TDI

oil changes every 2500-3k most of the miles are road trip and highway commuting miles.

with the amount of driving i do, its time to move on to something diesel

early on this car has had some of the typical 05 LGT issues for example
it blew a turbo, and an engine about 70k miles ago. I had the engine replaced with a new STI SB (i have about 11k in receipts)
It got rear ended, so my insurance totaled it even though there was no subframe damage, i bought it back, put on a new trunk lid, and fixed it up so has an R title because of this.

might get an e85 tune for this thing, anyone think i can make any power on 740s? or should i look for some 1100s

Zakster87 05-22-2013 01:35 PM

hmmm... I'd say 1100's from Five-0. They handle the E real good, lots of people in the ISC run em. On a side note, still looking to get rid of this? Got a good friend that may be interested.

Yep its for sale, i have someone local looking at it tomorrow, and i have a couple offers. Your friend is welcome to contact me.
If i keep getting low ball offers i will probably do an e85 tune, and have fun with the car

Yeah your post count only goes up in certain areas, FS is not one of them. Keeps the scammers from "bumping" or "LOL" threads to meet minimum post requirements.

BTW still eyeballing your vehicle. Double edged sword, do hope you sell it but at the same time hope to see it in late July.....

I'm amazed it's still around myself. It's a nice looking, well taken care of car...
