New 11 Legacy owner SE Michigan
Hello, after driving an 2002 Elantra for a ridiculously long time (sigh, it still drove like a champ when I craigslisted it, just had some bad rust and needed a new gas line), I decided to go a similar direction as the wife who got an 09 OB a couple years ago. Considering that was one of the best years for that car, I started looking into 09 legacys but quickly found out that their resale value is a bit inflated at the moment and I estimate will plummet pretty soon, so I looked into a 5th gen after my reservations about the issues they've been having.

Wound up loving it and the CVT, went for a second year of the new gen (I never go for the first year) and here I am. I was driving my back up vehicle for a while (1992 ranger) and went new car shopping because of (deceptive) internet advertised prices on Kia Fortes. Since we had the preapproved check from the bank, my wife basically yelled at me until I bought a car and went in this direction as we love the 09 OB (what can I say, I don't like having debt).

The other reason for having these two vehicles? We've been married almost 2 years and my mother NEVER. STOPS. TALKING. ABOUT. BABYS! It's so excessive that my mother in law doesn't even bother because we get it so much from my side. We figure we'll go give that a shot and then figure out ways to make them regret trying to force it on us before we were ready (we're finally ready).

Welcome to the site! :) To your second reason to get a Subie, they have a pretty good safety rating too!

Any pics of the two subies in your stable?
