FS: Samsung 50" DLP TV - needs new bulb, $100

3/11/13 EDIT: It appears to be the overheat sensor or the ballast, not the bulb. Both are cheap fixes.

COPIED FROM MY NASIOC AD - I am happy to trade for LGT parts

All (I have bolded the important points),

I've had this TV sitting in my spare bedroom for a while now with the idea of using it again. I'm tired of looking at it as I have not bothered to fix it. The bulb burnt out last year and needs to be replaced. I have found them online ranging from $30-100. It is very easy to replace the bulb, just a screw or two. If the new owner would like to purchase a bulb from amazon, I can use my Prime membership to get it shipped quickly for them.

The screen has one slight scratch on the front(happened when I was moving the tv years ago), but it is only visible when the TV is off. Other than that, it is in perfect cosmetic shape.

This would make a great cheap option for someone.

Model: HL-S5086W
Price: $100/picked up as is

Here is a link to a cheap bulb:

What kind of LGT parts are you looking for?

nothing in particular really, just open to anything.

It appears to be a moot point however, I just replied to a PM from someone looking to pick it up tonight. This is from someone I do not know on NASIOC, so I dont know how dependable his word is.

Lets consider this "pending" for now.

The guy that bought it replaced the bulb, and it still isn't working. Doing some research on the TVs symptoms, it appears to be the ballast, not the bulb.

This is still for sale.

Some new info:

it is either the ballast or the 'overheat' sensor, both are super cheap fixes.

I really do not want to be involved in this anymore, but since the guy that just bought it thinks I'm trying to screw him over, I think I may need to refund his money and then resell it.
